The festivities, organized for the purpose of promoting the Yörük Turkomen culture, are held in the Orhaneli district of Bursa every year in September. Within the scope of Yörük Turkomen Festival activities, Turkish ancestors sports competitions, local visual games, traditional performances of folk dance teams and concerts of local artists meet with the audience. In addition, the festival includes the nomadic migration march and the Karagöz shadow play show.
