Kumyaka Hagios Taxiarchoi (Başmelekler Church)

It is located in the district of Mudanya. It was built during the period of Byzantine Emperor IV. Konstantinos Porphyrogenetos. The square planned main church is covered with a dome and consists of four cross arms with barrel vaults on the sides. The roof of the building, whose walls are laid with brick and stone, is also built with brick. In addition to its religious function, it is a church that has made a name for its skill in treating mentally ill patients.
