İznik Sarı Saltuk Tomb

 Located outside the Lefke Gate in Iznik, It is not known when and by whom this building was built. It is believed that the dervish Sarı Saltuk, whose name spread from Central Asia to the Balkans, lies in the tomb. In terms of wall structure and plan features, The tomb, which is thought to have been built in the 14th century, underwent a major repair in 1963. The building is in good condition today. The square planned tomb is covered with a dome. The dome is covered with tiles from the outside. The walls of the building are laid with a row of stones and three rows of bricks.
