Muradiye Mosque

II. MURAD (MURADİYE) CAMİİ

Built in 1425-1426, the Murad II. Mosque reflects the most simple of the angled-plan type mosques.  Even though it has a fairly simple plan, both its external facade and interiors are very rich in terms of decoration.  With its stone and brick works on the exterior facade and the colorful enamels and various motifs of glazed-tiles inside are of great importance in terms of art history.
